How It Works
The Nether uses two noise channels — temperature and humidity — to assign biomes. This tool replicates those calculations in your browser using your exact seed.
In Java Edition type /seed in chat. In Bedrock go to World Settings → Game tab to find your seed number.
Choose Java or Bedrock and your Minecraft version. Biome generation was overhauled in 1.18 — pick the right version for accuracy.
Enter an optional X/Z center to bias the search near your base. Use quick-preset buttons for common distances from spawn.
Click Find. The tool scans a 6000×6000 block grid and returns the nearest location for each of the 5 Nether biomes.
The interactive Nether map renders your world's full biome layout. Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, hover to identify biomes at any coordinate.

About This Tool
Exploring the Nether blind is time-consuming and dangerous. The Nether can span thousands of blocks, and rare biomes like Basalt Deltas or Warped Forest might be far from your portal. A seed-based biome finder tells you exact coordinates before you even step through.
This tool processes everything in your browser — no data is sent to any server. Your seed stays private, and results appear in under a second regardless of how large your world is.
Since the 1.18 Caves & Cliffs Part II update, both Java and Bedrock editions share the same core biome generation algorithm. For the same numeric seed, Nether biome layouts are nearly identical between editions.
Key differences remain in structure placement: Nether Fortresses and Bastion Remnants generate at different positions between Java and Bedrock. Always verify structure locations in-game once you've found your target biome.
Remember the Nether–Overworld coordinate relationship: 1 block in the Nether equals 8 blocks in the Overworld. If a Warped Forest shows at Nether coordinates X: 500, Z: 300, your Overworld portal should be near X: 4000, Z: 2400 to link up efficiently.
Nether biomes extend vertically from bedrock floor to ceiling (Y=0 to Y=128), so any Y level between 30 and 100 will put you inside the correct biome once you reach the target X/Z.
The Warped Forest is the safest Nether biome for building, as only Endermen spawn there naturally. For farming, Crimson Forest provides Hoglin spawns for pork and leather. Soul Sand Valley is essential for Soul Sand and Soul Soil needed for Soul Speed enchantments and potions of slow falling.
Basalt Deltas — the rarest Nether biome — is the primary source of Blackstone, a durable building material that mimics Cobblestone in crafting recipes. Magma Cube spawners also make it valuable for Magma Cream farming.
